Second octave flute. Special Flute Trill Fingerings in the First and Second Octaves The first and second octaves of the flute have some trills that don’t work well using the standard fingerings. But we can take advantage of physics! Alternate Fingering Chart for Flute Third Octave: D 6 to C 7 This fingering chart includes both basic fingerings and alternatives that are more appropriate in some passages.
